St Comgall’s – Ionad Eileen Howell Official Opening Event

The Chair and Board members of Falls Community Council would like to invite you to join us at a celebration event on Thursday 22^nd June 2023 to mark the official opening of the newly renovated St Comgall’s/Ionad Eileen Howell multi-purpose community hub and international visitor centre.

To bring the historic St Comgalls building back to life for community use funding was initially secured through Atlantic Philanthropies to purchase the building.  The Executive Office (Social Investment Fund) and Belfast City Council (Belfast Investment Fund) then made available over £7million to restore and reinstate the building to its former glory.  The new facilities are fully occupied and offer valuable community space, training and retail facilities and a multi-purpose function/conference room and service area including a central courtyard.  These will offer economic, educational, cultural and social benefits to local communities.

We are delighted that the Deputy Lord Mayor, Áine Groogan, Jayne Brady, Head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service and Paul Maskey MP for West Belfast will join us at the event which will include a brief address from key dignitaries and an opportunity to tour our new facilities to showcase the community services we offer.

Format:        Brief address by key dignitaries followed by a tour of the building.
Car parking information: – limited car parking available in St Peter’s Cathedral at the back of St Comgall’s with entrance through an adjoining pedestrian gate
